چکیده
Manual removal of the main stem tips cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is a traditional topping approach in China. However, chemical has become an inevitable trend. Therefore, it great significance to study effect and appropriate concentration agents for advancement whole process mechanization management technology. A two-year field experiment was conducted evaluate effects different methods on yield plant architecture Shihezi, Xinjiang, Plant included manual topping, non-topping as control, (high, medium, low concentrations agent) determine suitable method agent machine-picked cotton. Chemical performed using fortified mepiquat chloride (DPC+). increased seed compared with non-topping. Compared non-topping, high, significantly by 19.5–27.9%, 24.1–29.4%, 24.3–28.4%, respectively. Different sowing dates affected cotton yield and yield components
This study was conducted to determine whether selecting an optimum sowing date couldimprove yield. The experiment consisted of sowing a film-covered, drip-irrigated cotton field onfour sowing dates from April to May in 2011-2012 at the Agrometeorological ExperimentalStation of Wulanwusu, which was in an arid region of north-western China. Late sowing datesproduced less yield and water-use effic...

In this study, a soil culture experiment was set up in barrels to investigate the effect of waterlogging duration at different growth stages on the growth, yield, and quality of cotton in the Huang-Huai Region of China during summer. The experiment was conducted at four growth stages of cotton (seedling, squaring, flowering, and boll opening), and the waterlogging duration at each stage was set...
متن کاملBiological Importance of Cotton By-Products Relative to Chemical Constituents of the Cotton Plant.
Although cultivated for over 7000 years, mainly for production of cotton fibre, the cotton plant has not been fully explored for potential uses of its other parts. Despite cotton containing many important chemical compounds, limited understanding of its phytochemical composition still exists. In order to add value to waste products of the cotton industry, such as cotton gin trash, this review f...
